HARBORVIEW'S PATIENT CARE SERVICES UNITS has multiple outstanding opportunities for CNA / PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN positions. This candidate bank will be used to fill multiple positions within our Patient Care Services units in different shifts and FTEs (Full-time, Part-time, and Temporary/hourly).
Our Patient Care Services units with current opportunities include:
FLOAT POOL Temp/hourly - Day shift (0700-1900, any weekdays, some Sat/Sun) 90% FTE - Night shift (1900-0700, every other Sat/Sun)
2E – MCICU MED/COR ICU Temp/hourly - Variable shift (0700-1900 OR 1900-0700 - depending on current need)
2W – NICU NEURO ICU 90% FTE - Day, Variable shift (0700-1930 and 1900-0730, 3- 12 hour shifts, Monday to Sunday) Temp/hourly - Variable shift (0700-1930 and 1900-0730, Minimum 4 shifts per 4 week pay period, Monday to Sunday)
3W – NEURO ACUTE 90%-100% FTE - Day shift (0700-1930, 12 hour shifts, self-schedule, every other weekend) 90% FTE - Night shift (1900-0730, 12 hour shifts, self-schedule, every other weekend) 60%-90% FTE - Variable shift (0700-1930 OR 1900-0730, 12 hour shifts, self-schedule, every other weekend)
3E – MED/TELE 70% FTE - Variable shift Temp/hourly - Day, Variable shift

The Patient Care Technician, under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Department Manager, performs routine tasks in direct and indirect patient care, transportation, and maintenance of a patient care area such as assisting patients with daily living activities, preparing patients for surgery, performing non-invasive lab procedures, transporting patients, equipment and supplies, assisting with treatments, and conducting various clerical tasks.
REQUIREMENTS: High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience. Must have a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your licensure information)
