The Supervisor of Laboratory is responsible for maintaining the integrity and the smooth daily operations of the Laboratory and for the direct supervision of personnel. This position supervises Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and/or Lab Assistants. Work situations are varied and require strong leadership skills, organization, prioritization, accuracy, discretion, good judgment, and independent decision-making. Major decisions are subject to the review and approval of the Manager. External contacts include physicians, pathologists, and physician office staff. Internal contacts are primarily with the hospital units.Position Summary:

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Licenses/Certifications:Bachelor's degree Medical Technologist MT (ASCP) or equivalent. ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist 3 years laboratory experience Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a supervisory or lead capacityExperience in Outpatient Laboratories inclusive of Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, phlebotomy, referral tests and all aspects of the Laboratory preferred
