The Human Resources team (UA HR) is committed to building, supporting and retaining an Advancement team of highly engaged, diverse employees in an environment of inclusivity, creativity and excellence. As a member of this team, the Human Resources Recruiter is responsible for performing recruiting functions to ensure a diverse, qualified candidate pool for all Advancement openings. This position establishes and maintains positive relationships with hiring managers to create and manage recruitment plans. Successful recruitment strategies include sourcing diverse candidate pools, evaluating candidates, creating a positive candidate experience and providing guidance and consultation to hiring managers throughout the sourcing and recruitment process.
As a member of the Advancement Human Resources team, the Recruiter will work closely with the Recruitment team, led by the Director for Human Resources, as well as other functional teams within Advancement Operations, to provide seamless service to UA units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sourcing
•Source active and passive candidates though creative and strategic methods including but not limited to employee referrals, networking, networking events, and advanced search tools to ensure all recruitments are seeded with highly qualified, diverse candidates. •Conduct research to deepen understanding of other advancement and fundraising organizations, while maintaining a network of industry contacts. •Develop and execute innovative, effective, and efficient recruitment strategies needed to acquire top talent. Build relationships with student programs on campus, including but not limited to the Career Center, the Student Calling Program, the Ethnic Cultural Center, Campus Job Fairs and the Q Center, to diversify and expand candidate pools. Continue to hone strategies to spread the word about the field of advancement. •Conduct informational interviews with inquiring candidates. Maintain a bank of potential candidates to ensure a diverse pool of applicants. Match qualified candidates with hiring managers throughout UA, including both permanent and temporary vacancies.
Recruiting
•Establish and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers to create and manage recruitment plans. •Provide guidance and consultation to hiring managers throughout the sourcing and recruitment process. •Advise hiring managers throughout the recruiting process. Provide training to hiring managers, conduct screening interviews, administer and evaluate candidates during the application process. •Conduct regular follow-up meetings with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
Policies, Procedures and Administration
•In collaboration with the Director and Associate Director, develop and implement UA HR recruiting policies and procedures. •Manage and maintain UA HR metrics and tracking systems. •Evaluate organizational practices in compliance with laws, rules and policies. Develop personnel recommendations in compliance with regulatory requirements while meeting UA operational needs. •Interpret, analyze and disseminate rules, procedures, and policies; identify needs for policy or procedure development and clarification; write guidelines, procedures and policies as necessary. •Prepare appropriate HR documents. •Participate and assist in the development of HR metrics.
Other Duties
•Identify and assist in the implementation of continuous process improvements. •Manage special projects as required by the HR Director. •Perform related duties as required. •Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and two years’ experience in human resources administration and/or recruiting.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
