Eastmont School District is growing K-12 public school district of just over 6,200 students located on the dry side of the majestic Pacific Northwest Cascade Mountain Range. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Executive Director of Financial Services is responsible for the financial management of the District, including the management of all assets and liabilities and administering the distribution of financial resources in accordance with the allocations as determined by the Board of Directors and Superintendent.
This position reports directly to the Superintendent.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
BA Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
Minimum of five years’ experience in financial management at a Washington State K-12 school district Central Office level, or in Washington State K-12 school district auditing.
Experience in applying federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing finance in public schools or other with other public agencies.
Eastmont School District, encompassing approximately 150 square miles, is located in the geographic center of Washington State in the southwestern corner of Douglas County, 170 miles west of Spokane and 155 miles east of Seattle. It is a four season community with easy access to both wilderness and major metropolitan areas. The District currently enrolls about 6,200 students in grades K-12. Our students are currently served in nine buildings: 5 elementary schools, one school with Grades 1-7, one intermediate school, one junior high school and one senior high school.
