About Gillespie Eye Care
For over 40 years, Gillespie Eye Care has provided full-scope optometric services to residents and families in central Washington. With two thriving locations, the practice offers a spectrum of services, including medical eye care, ocular disease treatment and management, surgical co-management for cataracts and LASIK, and contact lens services. A fully-staffed team enables the doctors to spend quality time and efficiently care for 20 to 25 patients daily. The office is centrally located in Brewster and easily accessible from US-97--offering a convenient commute from Chelan. To help support the growth of Gillespie Eye Care, the practice is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join the highly trained team.
Gillespie Eye Care is committed to efficient, prompt, and state-of-the-art eye care and utilizes advanced vision care technology to ensure a lifetime of clear vision. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including Cirrus OCT, Zeiss Matrix VF, fundus camera, and autorefractors. Cloud-based software is used to manage electronic health records and monitor vision and eye health over time. Patients enjoy a family-friendly experience as they shop the latest eyewear styles from the optical boutique--plus, the Opticians work closely with the patients to select proper frames for cosmetic, lifestyle, and vision needs.
About the Part-Time Associate Optometrist Opportunity
Gillespie Eye Care is seeking a part-time Associate Optometrist passionate about providing personalized eye care to delight patients and ensure excellent eye health. As our Associate Optometrist, you'll provide comprehensive patient care and leverage your leadership skills as you mentor team members to ensure quality of care and expectations are being met. The position is biweekly (every other week), 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday or flexible on the number of days worked--the position may potentially lead to full-time. The practice is looking for a positive, self-directed team player with a solid worth ethic and the ability to identify challenges while seamlessly solving problems without direction. This is an excellent opportunity to work and learn from industry experts while extending your compassion, professionalism, expertise, and personal touch to a loyal patient base. For the right Associate Optometrist, a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and continuously integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
