It’s not every day that a truly desirable financial technology CEO position pops open, but this is one of those days – and for the right exec looking to make an impact, it could be the role of a lifetime. The company is a purpose-driven FinTech firm whose innovative and award-winning SaaS-based products are leading this global movement towards building consumer financial health. Their aim is to eliminate financial stress and empower consumer financial wellness by creating more inclusive financial products.
Designed as a targeted search to maintain confidentiality and find the right candidate, we can’t tell you the name of the company just yet. That said, there are a lot of highly relevant details that we can share, and that should tell you plenty about whether this might be the right opportunity for you.
The company started up in 2015 as a wholly owned subsidiary of a top tier financial-cooperative based in the Pacific Northwest. The firm has experienced a lot of growth in the U.S. market and has expanded to the Canadian market. They are looking for a passionate CEO who can take the company to the next level by building upon a solid track record and scale the company for long-term growth. The team has fewer than a dozen employees, but is very tech-forward and punches well above its weight.
Among the top priorities for this search is finding someone who fully shares the company’s passion for helping credit-union customers address their financial challenges and achieve lasting security. Their stated mission is “To empower financial institutions in their quest to improve the financial wellness of their communities.”
The incoming CEO will be expected to act as the “chief visionary” as well as “the primary resource for business development.”Primary responsibilities include the development of strategies to meet both short-term and long-term objectives; sales development and managing the overall operations and resources of the firm; interacting with the board of directors; and serving as the public face of the company. In addition, the CEO will be called upon to build an external brand and corporate culture consistent with its purpose-driven mission.
The company is willing to consider candidates from a variety of backgrounds, with a preference for candidates from the financial-service, SAAS, or fintech sectors. While experience as a CEO is not mandatory, a candidate should have a track record of progressively rising executive responsibilities, and meaningful experience leading complex operations. A background in small, agile corporate settings and mission-driven organizations is a definite plus. Candidates with MBAs are preferred.
Understand, finally, that while this is a company that is proud of its dynamic growth and wants to see it continue, it is also an organization that places a high priority on the values of integrity, authenticity, and customer service – and will factor those qualities highly in this search.
For an experienced, values-driven executive looking to step into the CEO role, this is an excellent opportunity. If you’d like to learn more, contact Executive Recruiter, Kory Avaiusini, email@example.com 206-999-7383.
