The Procurement Services Global and Card Services team has an excellent opportunity for a Compliance Analyst - Card Specialist. This position will support and administer the purchasing and travel card programs for the University of Washington. The expertise required to fill this role must have an institutional level understanding of all card options at the university, to ensure that the card is the best method for paying. In addition, this role will monitor compliance, provide customer service and troubleshooting, and hold cardholders accountable to adhere to banking and university standards.The Compliance Analyst is a university level position that will contribute to the Procurement Services Culture of Service, focused on delivering value for others inside and outside the organization and across the University through customer service, operational effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Handling complex troubleshooting and customer escalations related to ProCard and Travel Card transactions.This position is also responsible for supporting the UW card program to ensure compliance with applicable UW, State and Federal polices and regulations for procurement and the card programs. Supporting and compliance responsibility encompasses the tri-campus UW organization (Seattle, Tacoma, Bothell), which consists of the card program totaling over 4,000 cards, primarily ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.Responsibilities:Purchasing (ProCard) and Travel Card (Individual/Central) Monitoring*Serve as subject matter expert for payment methods at UW, collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to ensure the best payment methods are being used from a cost and functionality perspective*Review and approve requests for new cards, credit card limit increases, renewals/replacements*Review financial (i.e. Budget) change requests*Analyze card activity to identify opportunities for training or expansion of the programCustomer Service and Troubleshooting*Provide direct customer support to resolve complex customer questions, issue cards and assist departments in establishing appropriate controls for card transactions and reconciliation.*Assist with JP Morgan Chase PaymentNet online banking escalation (i.e. Log in)*Provide support both remotely and chair-side to university employees *Answer general purchasing questions and concerns pertaining to the cards*Serve as liaison between UW cardholders and JP Morgan Chase related Post Audit Monitoring*Review high risk card transactions, identify trends in purchasing activity and mitigate risk *Review reimbursement requests related to Individual Travel Cards*Investigate potential fraud activity associated with the cards*Document exceptions that fall outside UW standards*Flag cardholders/departments who are chronically past due or have spent outside of agreed upon termsPayment*Retrieve card statements from PaymentNet, prepare and process payments to JP Morgan Chase for cards, ensure that the payments are delivered by or before due dateGeneral*Participate in process improvements for the card programs, including transition from paper-driven production work to online processing and analysis with internal and external partners*Track and record metrics for Lean visual systems*Other duties as assignedAs a UW employee, you will enjoy generous benefits and work/life programs.
