Performing over 6,000 procedures annually, the Surgery Department thrives on teamwork and takes great pride in the services they perform. The Surgical Tech assists the Surgeon and clinical team during operative and invasive procedures, with services that include orthopedics, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, general surgery and more.
The Surgical Tech assures the operating suite is adequately prepared for procedures, monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies, cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments, and assists in room turnovers.

Completion of a Surgical Tech program from an accredited college or technical school
Must maintain a Surgical Tech certification issued by the WA Department of Health
National Certification issued by the Association of Surgical Technologists encouraged
