The Foundation Fiscal Analyst is responsible for assisting the Foundation Finance Manager in: creating the internal and external financial reports of the Foundation, preparing the footnote disclosures and the Management Discussion and Analysis (MDA), and overseeing the annual audit engagements on campus.
Reporting: - Assists Foundation Financial Manager with the preparation of monthly and annual management reports, including Board and committee reports. - Assists in the compilation of the annual report and other schedules and information as requested. - Assists with the preparation of the annual Federal Tax Return Form 990-T and related schedules and disclosures. - Maintains and updates Project ID's for use in preparing financial reports and associated university reporting
Accounting: - Assist the Foundation Financial Manager with accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, reconciliations, journal postings, and reporting. - Provides support to the Foundation Financial Manager on various foundation related accounting activities, including: - Processing Accounts Payable invoices and creating checks - Bank Reconciliation - Project (Endowment) reconciliation - Preparing pledge adjusting entries - Preparing reports for internal and external users - Prepares account reconciliations for all significant balance sheet accounts including investments, cash, payables and receivables as assigned. - Prepares appropriate journal entries monthly
Endowment Financials: - Maintains endowment financial information including underlying donor agreements - Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience researching complex accounting reports and communicating with responsible customers.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of accounting software, analysis tools, and the Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated evidence of superior interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and donor relations
OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
Corporate, non-profit, or other work related accounting experience
Licensure as a CPA
Experience or knowledge of UPMIFA
Experience with Blackbaud software, particularly Financial Edge

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary: $2848/month with periodic increases up to $3700/month
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer work station for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel may be required.
