The Treasury Manager provides daily administration of all treasury affairs for the University, including cash management, short-term investments, endowment support, and internal and external debt management and compliance. The Treasury Manager is a functional position expected to have a sufficient breadth of knowledge regarding various finance and investment topics, including cash management, execution of trades, policy and loan compliance, short-term borrowing, bank and public debt issuances, and overall University capital management. The position works closely with and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Treasury Manager is expected to collaborate with other Finance personnel that are directly and indirectly impacted by treasury and capital allocation decisions, including the Budget Director, the Controller, the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager, and the Endowment Accountant. The position will work closely with the University's outside investment consultant, banking relationship managers, and investment managers. With the CFO, the Treasury Manager will also serve as additional staff for the Board of Trustees Investment Committee. The Treasury Manager has no direct reports. Together with the Chief Financial Officer and in consultation with investment managers, the Treasury Manager will develop and execute best practices to steward the University's treasury resources.
BA in Business or related degree such as accounting or finance
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance, treasury, cash management, accounting, or similar work
Knowledge of enterprise administrative software systems such as Banner and PC based software, such as Microsoft Excel, necessary for operating, analytical, forecasting, and report purposes
Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of people
Demonstrated judgment and communication skills regarding the disclosure of complex and sometimes confidential financial information to a variety of audiences
Ability to work independently towards the achievement of multiple tasks with varying deadlines
