Are you one of those barista's that knows your regular customer's orders before they do? Do your regulars' know your name and vice versa? Do you live for leading your team through the busy customer rushes?
If so, UW Dining may have opportunities for you! We are opening up this candidate bank to identify potential candidates for full-time permanent positions, as well as temporary and on-call work. The salary range for these positions is $2,642 to $3,110, dependent upon prior related experience. If you are offered a full-time position, you will be eligible for the University's generous benefits package.
With cafes and markets located around campus, Housing & Food Services offers customers opportunities to caffeinate or refresh themselves with beverage and nibbles around each corner of the campus! We even have two new Starbucks locations on campus!
You must have one year of experience in the coffee industry to qualify for these positions, though more experience leading and training staff in high-volume cafes gives you an edge over the competition. All successful candidates must complete a criminal history background check and reference check before starting. Those who accept full-time positions will participate in the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE) union.
So, if having great customer interactions is your way of life, leading a team is your dream, and you pull amazing shots of espresso, you need to apply now!
